Ranching operations, as well, have been a major interest for three generations of this Southern Oklahoma family. Under present ownership, today's objective is to preserve the traditions of the founder while utilizing the latest techniques and developments in ranching procedures.
Headquartered in Johnston County at Mill Creek, Oklahoma, the Gray Ranch operates under the Walking G and Q Bar brands of the first owner, Earl Q. Gray. A recent innovation at the Mill Creek ranch is the Pennington Creek Hunting Club. Opened in 2007, it offers hunters an abundant supply of deer, turkeys, ducks, wild hogs and fish in an isolated, serene setting along Pennington Creek, a spring-fed stream flowing through several miles of limestone ranch land.
